Impact Driven Initiative for Sustainable Development (IDISD) Uncovers New Strategies to Increase Uptake of HIV Test among Nigerian Youth Since 1988, the world has picked every first of December as a day to spread awareness on HIV and come together to unite against the epidemic. The 2019 World Aids Day was themed, ‘Communities making a difference’ as it became apparent that all hands must be on deck to reduce the problems of HIV epidemic. 1 Some of these problems include death of the persons living with the disease, graduating of HIV to AIDS, increased spreading of the disease and transferring of the virus from mother to child among other problems. IN-SCHOOL FEMALE ADOLESCENTS IN KWARA STATE GOT EMPOWERED DURING THE CELEBRATION OF 2019 INTERNATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY Impact Driven Initiative for Sustainable Development (IDISD) in collaboration with the Association of Professional Counsellors in Nigeria (APROCON), Kwara State chapter organized a day programme towards celebrating the International Girl Child Day on the 11 th of October, 2019. The programme themed, “Girl Force: Unscripted and Unstoppable" held simultaneously at the three different senatorial zones in Kwara state. With the focus on empowering the girl child for a better future, the programme targeted female secondary school students across the sixteen Local Government Areas of Kwara state. MULTITUDE OF STUDENTS FROM PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS BENEFITED FROM IDISD FREE SUMMER LESSON Students writing exams    Students listening to lecture On Saturday, 7 th September, 2019, Impact Driven Initiative for Sustainable Development (IDISD) free summer lesson came to an end with award and prize giving ceremony for students and volunteers. The Lesson which commenced on 5 th August, 2019 engaged about one hundred (100) students from fifteen (15) different schools in Kwara state and one (1) school from Kebbi State. The president of the BOT, Dr. Oladele Salaudeen Hanafi, ably represented by the Executive Director of IDISD, Mr. Olanrewaju Rabiu Hanafi delivered the opening remark.
